These pieces are inspired by ‘being there’ – worked up from a field sketch or a remembered moment while out walking or bird watching. My designs evolve from my reference sketches and become stylised to suit the media of glass and leading. I enjoy designing with these limitations and love the qualities of the glass colours combined with the bold dark lines. I make both copper foil and leaded glass.

The popular unframed and open work pieces are less traditional in method than the solid leaded glass panels, and have been developed for easy display where there is less hanging space or the window structure is unsuitable for a heavier piece.

My pieces are decorative, designed to hang on existing framework and structures.

If you are interested in commissioning work please take a look at the commissioning notes, and after digesting those you are welcome to contact me with an idea of your budget, size, design subject and timescale.
I’m afraid I don’t send out an explicit brochure of my designs because of copyright issues. I rely on commissions from people who have seen my work, which I exhibit at:

Ÿ
Local events such as Cambridge Open Studios.
Ÿ
The British Birdwatching Fair (held at Rutland Water in August).

Past exhibitions have included:

Ÿ
Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (Eye of the Wind Gallery in Arundel).
Ÿ
Wicken Fen National Trust Visitor Centre.

Although the examples shown are all birds I am happy to consider other themes for commissioned work. Do contact me if you would like to know where I am exhibiting my work next.
