Artist Profile
I originally studied fine art, specialising as a print maker.

Since then I have used my training within museum display work, web site & logo design, illustration, and running my own small business making hand-printed greetings cards.

During the past decade I have gradually returned to concentrate on my art work, after working in a number of interesting places including a zoology museum and plant collection.

My recent work has involved trying new media including stained glass and jewellery making, mainly in silver.

Subjects revolve around a fascination with the natural world.  Plants and birds are of particular interest to me.  I watch wildlife to gain inspiration and often use ideas gleaned while out walking to develop a print or a design for glass or jewellery.

Alongside other work I have taught art and crafts workshops in adult education for the past 10 years. I find this useful as a focus and in many ways useful in consolidating thoughts on my own artwork. I am an occasional tutor at Cambridge University Botanic Gardens.
